POLICE have appealed for witnesses after a motorcyclist was killed in a crash near Bicester.
The 47-year-old man, who was riding a blue Suzuki, was declared dead at the scene in Wretchwick Way at the junction with Peregrine Way.
A police spokesman said the incident occurred at about 2.45pm yesterday and also involved a blue Mazda car.
Bunches of flowers have been laid at the scene.
The driver of the car, a 26-year-old man, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He has been released on bail and must return to Banbury police station on October 31.
Investigating officer Sgt Pete Jell said: “I would like to hear from anyone that may have seen either vehicle prior to the collision or who witnessed the collision itself.”
