St Edmunds U11's continued their rich regin of form with a hard fought 2-0 away victory over an excellent and resilient Faringdon side.
During a close first half with numerous chances at both ends St Eds Joshua Holmes put St Eds ahead with an outstanding close range flick from an acute angle. Both sides went close with goal mouth melee's occuring at both ends but with both sides defenders at their very best the first half ended 0-1.
From the start of the second half Faringdon pressed and went close with the bar coming to the rescue for St Eds and an outstanding save from Bandon Squires for St Eds keeping the visitors 1-0 up.
With time ticking away and both sides giving their all Matty 'Foxey' Moxon broke after being put through by Declan Shey and after a fine solo run rifled a right footer into the top corner and sealed a hard fought victory against an excellent and well managed Faringdon side.
