NETWORK Rail engineers began work in July on a £70m scheme to reinstate double track on much of the Cotswold Line railway route between Oxford and Worcester.
Among the sections that will see the second set of rails reinstated is the four miles between Charlbury and Ascott-under-Wychwood stations, in west Oxfordshire, where both stations will see their second platforms rebuilt.
An online picture gallery at oxfordmail.co.uk is charting the work over the next two years and also takes a look back at the line’s recent past.
