AN 81-year-old Bicester man who died after crashing his car into a bridge is expected to be named today.
He was driving his Vauxhall Astra in Lords Lane, Bicester, towards the Bucknell Road roundabout at about 1.15am yesterday morning, when he lost control and hit a railway bridge.
The man was taken to Banbury’s Horton General Hospital but later died. Nobody else was in the car.
A spokesman for the Oxfordshire Coroner confirmed they hope to identify the man by lunchtime today.
Sgt Pete Jell said: “I am keen to speak to anyone who saw a blue Vauxhall Astra in the area prior to the collision.”
