Police have reopened Oxford High Street following an accident involving a Stagecoach bus and a male pedestrian.
The accident happened at 11.50am in the section of High Street where roadworks are being carried out by Oxfordshire County Council.
David Paull, a spokesman for Thames Valley Police, said: “Our officers are investigating a collision between a bus and a pedestrian and are trying to establish the precise circumstances of the accident.
“A male pedestrian in his sixties was taken to hospital for treatment after suffering serious injuries. His condition is not thought to be life-threatening.”
Mr Paull said High Street reopened at 1.20pm, after the accident caused major delays for buses which were forced to queue during the hold-up.
