Police today released an e-fit of a woman they would like to speak to in connection with a burglary in Abingdon.

Thieves gained entry to the house in St John’s Road some time between 2.30pm and 5pm on August 28.

Electrical items including two iPods, an iPod docking station, a laptop and some jewellery were stolen in the break-in.

Det Con Dave Evans, of the Abingdon priority crime team, said: “Following further investigation it has come to light there was a woman seen in the area asking if anyone had lost a Labrador dog.

“The woman is described as white, 5ft 11ins, in her late forties and possibly Dutch or Danish. She had reddish blonde hair, a tanned complexion and a large build.

“She was wearing a yellow zip-up fleece with a collar, olive green trousers and brown moccasin-style shoes.

“If you are this woman, or know who this woman is, then we would like to speak with you and we would ask you to come forward and speak to us as soon as possible.

“If you recognise the e-fit of the woman or have any information about the burglary, we would also like to speak to you.”

Anyone with information should contact Det Con Evan via the Thames Valley Police Enquiry Centre on 0845 8 505 505, or alternatively you can contact the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
