The Oxford-built Mini today took centre stage at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
Two new models were launched, the Roadster and the Coupe which, although still labelled concepts, will be built at the Cowley plant, top boss Norbert Reithofer revealed ten days ago, creating hundreds of jobs.
Both two seaters, the Coupe has the most powerful engine available, while the Roadster is a convertible.
The Mini stand at Frankfurt also celebrated the 50th anniversary of the car and saw the launch of two special anniversary editions, the Camden and the Mayfair, as well as a new entry-level Mini One diesel.
