Alumni Benefits
Graduation marks the end of your studies, but it’s only the beginning of a new relationship with your university. As a graduate you join a network of over 100,000 former Brookes students who live and work in every corner of the world, and who enjoy a constantly evolving programme of benefits and support specially provided for Oxford Brookes alumni.
Take advantage of these benefits and services by registering with the alumni website at www.brookesalumni.co.uk. The site makes it easy to stay connected with your university and your diverse community of fellow alumni, and helps Oxford Brookes keep you up-to-date with the news, events and developments that matter to you.
Claim a free OxfordBrookes.net account, or take advantage of the support provided to graduates by the university’s Careers Centre. You can apply for your free alumni membership card and start enjoying special discounts such as 10% off at Blackwell Bookshop, money saving deals at restaurants across the country or reductions on hotel rooms around the world.
You can also use the site’s alumni directory to read about the lives of other alumni after their graduation, leave your own messages and discover what social networks your former classmates are visiting. There’s information on building or maintaining associations with sports groups, societies and international networks, reading lists provided by Brookes academic staff and links to YouTube videos, Flickr slideshows and Facebook groups. Alternatively, find out about volunteering roles or opportunities for engagement between alumni and the rest of the university community.
“The feedback has been fantastic,” explains Ben Richardson, Alumni Communications Officer. “It helps us to develop and improve our website and the alumni programme and report on what our alumni are doing. We regularly receive updates about new Facebook groups or graduate-organised events, and we’re pleased to provide a website that can act as another tool to keep our alumni connected with their university and help build their community.”
Visit www.brookesalumni.co.uk now to become a part of your new community and help Oxford Brookes provide the support you need.
