Tower Hill pushed right from the start and were unlucky not to take an early lead with Daniel Bullock, Luke Bolley and Jamie Harris all coming close. Kennington then had their chance for a goal but were unlucky with their effort.
In a well contested first half which was played at a frenetic pace, Tower eventually took the lead with Jacob Hughes finishing off a fine move with his first goal but sympathy to Kennington as they had a player down at the time but play was allowed to continue as no head injury was evident. Tower looked the stronger and were playing some excellent football and were unlucky not to double their lead with Ed Priest firing just over. Half time score 0-1.
Kennington had the slope to their advantage in the second half but the impressive Tower defence stood firm and restricted Kennington to mainly long range shots and set pieces which they looked dangerous from. Tower definitely needed a second goal and Daniel Bullock duly obliged with his 3rd of the season with a shot that looped over the unlucky keeper. Tower then played their best football and finished off a slick move with Jacob Hughes scoring his second and 4th of the season.
This was an entertaining game with a good spirit between the players with Tower Hill running out worthy winners.
