I WAS interested to read the letters regarding the disappearance of the dawn chorus and general singing from our wild birds.
I’m sure it has nothing to do with magpies or any other nefarious activity. Birds just do not sing when they are moulting – which usually happens throughout August and early September.
So listen out, all will be well and tuneful soon.
