Didcot settled quickly in their first game of the season taking the lead three times during an eventful first half at Stratfield Brake.
Kidlington must take credit from coming back from each setback to level things up and the sides went in even at the break.
Colts then took the lead midway through the second half and looked to have edged it with a fantastic long-range strike. Didcot never gave up the game though and levelled late on via an excellent headed goal.
The game was competitive but played in a excellent spirit throughout.
Kidlington's goals came via Olly Hazell (2), Ed Keppie and Conor Barrett. Didcot scorers were Eddie Taylor, Warren Stewart, Joe Hawkins and David Swain.
