Afc Brightwell U9's won their first match of the season with a hard fought 2-1 victory over Drayton.

Drayton started the match strongly,using crisp passing and powerful running to create early chances, Drayton took the lead mid-way through the first half with some neat passing ending with Jack Evans sending the ball into the top Lefthand corner of the net.

Drayton then went back on the offensive creating 2 further clear cut chances only for Brightwell Keeper. Liam Gesnar making 2 really good saves.

After the break Brightwell started on the front foot, James Stewart and Sam Gould combined well from to create the chance for Sam Gould to finish well for the equaliser.

5 minutes later the dynamic duo combined again, this time Sam Goulds low cross was finished well by James Stewart in the bottom corner.

Drayton pressed but could not find the equaliser and Brightwell held on for a well earned 3 points
