Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was attacked by a group of Asian men while walking along Park End Street last night.
The 26-year-old man had left the Thirst bar in Park End Street and was crossing over the bridge when he was attacked by four men.
He has been unable to provide a detailed description of the men, but when questioned by police confirmed that a knuckleduster was used in the attack.
The man sustained a broken cheekbone and injuries to his left hand in the attack and will require an operation on his cheekbone once the swelling has gone down.
