A PUPIL at Oxford High School has been diagnosed with swine flu, it was confirmed last night.
Headmistress Felicity Lusk said: “I can confirm we have one case of swine flu. The girl is at home and receiving treatment.
“We’re awaiting instructions from the Health Protection Agency as to how to proceed, but won’t be closing.”
Oxfordshire NHS Primary Care Trust said the total number of cases of swine flu in the county last night stood at 33.
Nationally, there have been 6,929 confirmed cases, although Health Secretary Andy Burnham warned the House of Commons yesterday that the number of new swine flu cases could escalate rapidly by the end of next month.
