REFERRING to FR Kane’s letter about garden waste disposal (Oxford Mail, June 3). He or she says that the garden is large.
So, wouldn’t it make more sense to save their pennies spent on bags and purchase some compost containers instead, in which to dispose of these prunings etc, as well as vegetable peelings, paper (including shredded documents), cardboard and the contents of the vacuum cleaner.
Much better than giving these valuable commodities to the council.
