THE rewards keep on coming for the Oxford teenager battling to be named Britain’s Next Top Model.

Sophie Sumner, 19, from Kidlington, is down to the final four contestants on the popular Living TV series and was this week shown becoming the face of a well-known shower-gel brand.

The former Cherwell and Headington School pupil posed in a towel on an Argentinean salt flat to secure the deal with Imperial Leather’s Skinbliss range.

She told the Oxford Mail: “It was one of my favourite shoots. It was tasteful and it was for a massive brand.

“All the photos came out beautifully and I remember posing for the photos thinking ‘this is magical, this is a beautiful landscape that stretches for miles and miles and there is no-one else here except me and the crew’.

“I’d messed up so much in the shoot before so I felt it was time to redeem myself and it went really well.

“It was quite funny, they kept telling me to put a towel on — I was happy just lying there without it.”

Filming for the series — which is in its fifth year — has now ended, but Miss Sumner has fond memories of her time in South America.

She said: “Being in Argentina was weird.

“Normally, you would go to these places for a holiday, but it was still a competition and we got thrown into doing things as soon as we landed.

“So it never felt like a holiday, although the place was amazing and the people were so friendly.

“The only food they ate was just thick steak, though – with nothing, so I think I probably put on a few pounds.”
