Police are appealing for witnesses after a robbery in Wheatley today.
Between 9.15am and 9.20am, two men entered the Harvester Restaurant in London Road and stole the weekend takings from a member of staff.
The robbers were white and were dressed in dark clothing. One was believed to have been wearing a baseball cap.
Det Sgt Alun Watkins said: “I am interested in speaking to anyone who was in Wheatley this morning and saw two men running away from the restaurant.
“It is believed the offenders jumped over a wall onto the London Road and ran away from the village towards the M40. There is a lay-by about 100 yards from the restaurant that is frequently used by fisherman and walkers.
"Were you here this morning? Did you witness two people acting suspiciously? If so, please get in touch.”
Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact Det Sgt Watkins via Thames Valley Police Enquiry Centre on 0845 8 505 505. If you don’t want to speak to police and don’t want to leave your name contact the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
