Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted in Warwick Road, Banbury.
At about 1.30am on Friday, a 17-year-old boy was walking through People’s Park with a friend when he was hit over the head with a bottle.
The teenager sustained injuries to the side of his face and hand which required stitches.
The offender was white, 5ft 5in tall, and aged 15 years old. He had short brown hair and was wearing a peaked cap.
Det Sgt Chris Whitwell said: “This was a totally unprovoked attack on a young man making his way home. I appeal to anyone who was in this area of Banbury in the early hours of Friday morning and saw a man acting suspiciously to contact police immediately.”
