A man was hit over the head in Oxford with a wheel brace which was then used to smash the window of his car.
The 19-year-old left a corner shop at the junction of Pegasus Road and Crowberry Road, between 10.30pm and 10.50pm last Sunday, when he was approached by a man who him over the head with a wheel brace knocking him to the ground.
The man, along with two other men, then kicked the teenager while he was on the ground. The man with the wheel brace then used it to smash the window of the victim's car.
The teenager was taken to hospital where he received treatment to a head injury.
A 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm. He has been released on bail until Friday, July 17.
PC Ron Polden said: “I understand that the shop was quite busy at the time of the incident and that there were a number of people out in the street.
"I would like to hear from these people as they have some important information that could help me with my investigation.”
