A woman was assaulted by a male cyclist as she walked along a street in West Oxford during the early hours.
The 21-year-old woman was walking in West Street, Osney Island, at 2.20am on Thursday when she was grabbed from behind.
Her attacker is described as Asian, in his late 20s, 5ft 7ins, with a stocky build and a big nose and lips. He was wearing a dark-coloured hooded top.
Pc Matthew Leney, of Thames Valley Police, said: “We are not really sure what the motives were behind this and it all happened very quickly.
“The man approached the woman from behind as he pushed a bicycle and when he grabbed her she let out a scream and he rode off towards Botley Road.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Pc Leney on 08458 505505, or the Crimestoppers line anonymously on 0800 555111.
