A cancer charity’s scheme to build a £2m treatment support centre on stilts at Oxford’s Churchill Hospital has been given the go-ahead.
Maggie’s Oxford, which currently operates from a temporary building at the Headington hospital, will build a single-storey timber building on stilts after city councillors approved the design.
The centre, to be built south of the Julia Durbin Day Nursery, will have an entrance area, library, dining and sitting room areas, offices and three consultation rooms.
