TWO servicemen from RAF Benson are aiming to break the world 24-hour archery record.
Sgt Jamie Fowler and Sgt Martin Phair are trying to score the highest number of points possible whilst raising money for Combat Stress, the leading provider of mental health care for veterans in the UK, and MacMillan Cancer Support.
The record for two archers stands at 35,121 points in 24 hours. To beat that, the pair must shoot more than 730 points each per hour before 10am tomorrow.
RAF Benson spokesman Nikki Hamilton said: “They will shoot three arrows each at the same time for 24 hours in the hope of beating the record.”
To donate money to the challenge, go to the pair's website.
