Sir – As one of the county council Conservative candidates from Oxford city, on glancing through your election results (Report, June 11), I was surprised to see that I had been demoted from third to fourth position in the Cowley and Littlemore division.
A quick check on the county council website confirmed that you had transposed two of the digits for one of the Green candidates, Fionn Stevenson, allocating her a vote of 862 instead of 682, allowing her to jump from fifth to third position.
I then checked the other results for Oxford city on the county council website and discovered two further smaller errors in your report (unless the website is incorrect) — neither of which affects the candidates’ positions in their respective divisions. These are: in Leys and Lye Richard Stevens (Labour) gained 1,233 votes (you have indicated 1,223) and in Summertown and Wolvercote Lilian Sherwood (Green) gained 1,198 votes (you have indicated 1,098).
I realise that these are small typographical errors, but in the interests of accuracy I would appreciate the correct votes being printed, at least for these divisions.
Judith Harley, Conservative candidate, Cowley & Littlemore Division
