Police are appealing for witnesses after a teenager was robbed at knifepoint in Blackbird Leys.

At about 12.30am on Friday, a 17-year-old boy was approached by a group of teenagers near to the Spar in Dunnock Way.

One of them threatened him with a knife, cut his hand and demanded to hand over his mobile phone.

One of the offenders was of mixed race, aged between 13 and 14 years old, about 5ft 8ins and of medium build. He was wearing a black waterproof hooded top. The second was also of mixed race and of the same height and build. He spoke with a local accent and also wore a black waterproof hooded top. The third was white; around 5ft 11ins, of medium build with short spiky blond hair. He was wearing a white hooded Adidas tracksuit top with the hood down which had three stripes down each arm. The fourth offender is white, short and was wearing dark clothing.

Det Con Josie Craig said: “Thankfully the victim was not seriously injured. I appeal to anyone who was in Blackbird Leys on Thursday evening or Friday morning and saw a group of teenagers acting suspiciously to contact police immediately.”
