A NEW twinning charter is due to be signed between Bicester and Czernichov, Poland, on Saturday.
Chairmen of the twinning associations and mayors from both towns will sign on the dotted line to seal the new friendship.
There will be a celebration cake, and entertainment during the event at Garth Park, off Launton Road.
Singers from Cooper School and other schools are due to perform, as is Bicester Community College Jazz Band and local dance groups.
All the children taking part and the Polish guests will be given a commemorative medal.
If the weather is poor, the festivities will take place at the performance hall at Cooper School, Churchill Road.
The event starts at 11.30am and ends at 2.15pm.
On Sunday, the Polish visitors will be guests at the town’s civic service and parade.
There will be a service at noon at St Edburg’s Church followed by a parade through the Market Square, where Bicester and Czernichov’s mayors will take the salute.
