Twelve to 16 year olds have a great opportunity to leave their computer rally games behind and try the real thing at MGLive!, the biggest MG event on the planet organised by the MG Car Club from July 10 -12 at Silverstone circuit.

Based on an already successful programme the Junior Rally Experience will use specially-adapted MG ZR 1.4 International Group N rally cars on a gravel stage at the circuit.

It is designed to test the drivers control rather than aiming for raw speed, and will emphasise steering, brake and throttle control around a tight slalom course, ensuring cars are kept at a safe speed.

The cars are fully rally prepared, fitted with instructor-activated cut outs and full safety features. Each car will be managed by a qualified instructor, a support technician and will include helmets and seat adjusters. Participants will be restricted to 12-16 years of age and must pass a minimum height requirement.

For the fully inclusive price of £50 each individual will receive one-to-one instruction in how to move off from a standing start; gear changes; steering control and the use of the hand brake for tight turns.

Following their experience in the driving seat, the instructor will take control and provide a high-speed ride around the same course.

Participants will also receive a 15 per cent discount voucher for use at the CMCL Rally School at Mallory Park in the future. Bookings can be made for either Friday afternoon, Saturday and Sunday morning or afternoon sessions by telephoning 07974 725 574 or 02476355079 Email: peter@cmcl.info
