ALMOST 400 children from across Oxfordshire turned up at a wildlife park for a sponsored toddle.
The under-fives and parents and carers took part in Barnardo’s Big Toddle at the Cotswold Wildlife Park, near Burford, on Wednesday.
The fundraising event is in its 13th year and organiser Cynthia Catchpole said it kept getting better.
She said: “It’s always a great atmosphere and having such a fantastic venue helps.
“As well as taking part in the sponsored toddle, families and nursery groups brought a picnic to have afterwards and then made a real treat of it by touring the wildlife park.
“The money raised really is vital in helping Barnardo’s to maintain support for local children and families including running three centres for disabled children in the county as well as providing after school activities in the community for disabled children.”
The funds raised from the Big Toddle go towards supporting Barnardo’s work with toddlers, which includes services for children with disabilities, young carers and mums and dads who need help to care for their children.
