Police are appealing for witnesses after a property was burgled in Abingdon.
Between 12.30pm and 4.05pm on Monday burglars broke into a bungalow in Whitecross by forcing open the front door. They stole items including a laptop, credit cards and jewellery.
PC Paul Reece said: “The bungalow is set back from the main road with a service road nearby which runs parallel to Whitecross.
“It is near to a bus stop and there would have been plenty of people around at the time who could have seen the burglars in the area.
“We have also had a report from the occupant that a man had come to the door previously asking if she had any gardening work that needed doing.
“I would like to ask anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area to contact the police.”
Anyone with any information about the incident is urged to contact PC Paul Reece at Abingdon police station via 0845 8 505 505, or if you don’t want to talk to the police or give your name, call the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
