The chairman of Bicester and District Twinning Association has resigned less than a fortnight before signing a charter with Poland.
John Clutterbuck stepped down last week and his wife Sue will follow on June 23 after the signing celebration.
The pair and other members of Bicester and District Twinning Association have set up a rival group called Bicester Twinning Association.
Vice chairman David Buxton has stepped in as chairman and will sign the charter with Czernichow, Poland, on behalf of the Bicester and District Twinning Association.
The signing event is due to take place at Garth Park, off Launton Road, on Saturday, June 20.
Bicester is already twinned with Neunkirchen - Seelscheid, Germany, and Canton des Essarts, France.
