CHILDREN at a Bicester school will get the chance to explore nature first hand when a team of gardeners revamp their concrete garden.
Foundation stage youngsters, aged four and five, at Kings Meadow Primary School recently moved into new classrooms, but found the outside space was just an area of concrete.
Now, thanks to staff at Wyevale Garden Centre, in Bicester Avenue, the area will get a makeover with raised bedding areas, trees and space for vegetables.
Earlier children held a teddy bears picnic to help raise money for a wooden house.
Jeanette Cocklin, events manager at Wyevale, said: “The children wrote to us and drew pictures of what they would like and we decided to help.”
