Oxford Downs 2nd had the better of a draw in their top-of-the-table clash at Great Brickhill – but came within one wicket of clinching maximum points in a tense finish.
Matty Lee top-scored with 45 as Downs made 148-7 from 40 overs after being put into bat.
Lee Morgan was the pick of the home attack, taking 3-39.
Downs' Richard Gauntlett (5-52) then bowled even better and Arran Aris hit 55 to keep both sides in contention, but the home side were left clinging on at 139-9 when their innings closed after 26 overs.
Downs were docked one point for their slow over rate.
