One of the biggest music events in the town’s calendar kicks off tonight.
The annual Blues and Beer Festival runs until midnight tomorrow evening at the Regal Centre, off St Martin’s Street, featuring live blues music, real ales, cider, wine and a barbecue.
The independently-run charity festival helps promote youth development projects in the area and has raised almost £20,000 since 2000.
