The votes are in. Now for the count.
Thousands of residents in Oxfordshire voted yesterday to have their say in the county council and European elections.
Pollsters are predicting a bad result for Labour – raising the pressure on Gordon Brown to resign.
The Prime Minister has not lost all support, however. Donald Ray, 78, of Knights Road, who voted at Blackbird Leys Community Centre, said: “I have always thought Labour has done a lot of good for pensioners. I worked until I was 74 and I get £252.40 a week.”
In the county council election, 316 candidates are seeking elections to 74 seats.
The votes are being counted today. Results will be constantly updated on oxfordtimes.co.uk
