We welcome the Lord Mayor of Oxford Mary Clarkson’s proposal to set up a fund for University of Oxford student Kentaro Ikeda who was so badly beaten up in an attack near the University Parks he may never be able to live independently again.
Mr Ikeda was a guest in our city and we were all horrified by what happened. We are sure the fund will be very successful and will show the true and compassionate face of Oxford — in stark contrast to the evil act of two individuals.
