Keith Mitchell (Not Your Business, Oxford Mail June 1) says that figures for county council allowances and expenses should be published monthly, not yearly.
But we are still only told the total figure that each councillor claimed, and we are never given any details.
Perhaps Mr Mitchell would like to itemise how he spent the £9,318 he claimed for ‘travel and subsistence’ in 2007-8, over £6,000 more than any of his fellow-councillors?
