Recently London Road, Headington, has been resurfaced and re-marked following roadworks.
Prior to this work the cycle tracks shared the wide pavements. Now they’ve been marked to use the bus lanes.
Apart from the fact that buses and cycles do not mix, it defeats the object of giving buses a free run.
Buses will either be held up by cycles or by attempts to overtake them by an 8ft wide vehicle on a 10’ 6” lane. Whoever thought up the scheme I feel could never have ridden a bike or driven a bus.
