Sir – Referring to Mark Noble’s letter (May 21), I would mention that I too have suffered from undelivered mail but in my case the trouble has arisen from outgoing mail, in contrast to your correspondent’s, who apparently has missing incoming mail.
On two separate occasions in the last six months I have informed the local sorting office of non-delivery, the first being in regard to letters sent to relatives as far apart as Southampton, Weybridge and Sudbury (Sussex) and on a later occasion to a grandchild at college in Farnham, Surrey.
As I pointed out at the time, the only common factor was the local sorting office (or offices), wherever they may be. In a telephone conversation with the Kidlington office in March I was informed that sorting was now being carried out at another depot.
