Sir – I write with regard to recent adverse comments about Oxford Brookes University’s plans to develop its Gipsy Lane site and about comments made more generally about the University.
Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals enjoys a very successful relationship with Brookes, in a partnership that has trained a large number of professional staff, including thousands of nurses, midwives and social workers.
Many of these now serve the community in Oxford’s hospitals and across the county. The dedication, professionalism and good nature of the Brookes graduates caring for patients is a testament to the excellent work of the University.
