A family of five has been diagnosed with swine flu, it was announced this afternoon.
Dr Ljuba Stirzaker, consultant in public health for Oxfordshire Primary Care Trust, said the two parents and three children were being treated with anti-viral drugs and were making a good recovery.
She said the family had been visitng the county from the USA and that all close contacts of those infected were being monitored and treated with anti-viral drugs.
This will take Oxfordshire’s total number of people infected with swine flu to eight.
