A motorist has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after a crash which killed a 18-year-old man and left his girlfriend fighting for her life in hospital.
Greg Stiles, 18, of Thame, died in a four-car pile-up in Kingsey, Buckinghamshire, at 2.40pm on Sunday, May 17.
His girlfriend Abigail Dowdy, 17, remains in hospital in a critical condition.
The couple were driving Mr Stiles’s blue Ford Fiesta from Kingsey to Longwick on the A4129 Risborough Road when it was involved in a collision with blue Vauxhall Corsa, a silver Renault Clio and a silver Toyota Yaris.
An unknown 4x4 vehicle was also involved in the collision, but did not stop at the scene.
Police are still appealing for help from the public in tracing the vehicle.
Officers arrested a 25-year-old man on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving on Wednesday and released him on bail.
Pc Phil Hanham said: “I would like to thank all those people who have so far come forward to help us with our investigation. We are continuing to ask for any witnesses or anyone with any information to please come forward.”
