TWO Oxford schoolchildren have been wowing the crowds in the stage version of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast at the New Theatre.
Thomas Truscott, eight, from Headington, and Angus Pinkerton, 10, from Cumnor, are sharing the role of Chip, a boy who has been turned into a tea cup, for six performances at the theatre in George Street. Thomas is pictured in the cup, as Angus looks on, with The Beast (Shaun Dalton) and Beauty (Ashley Oliver).
The youngsters, who attend the Stagecoach drama school in Oxford, are performing with a fully professional cast after winning the roles during local auditions. The play runs until May 30.
