Former Liberal Democrat leader Paddy Ashdown visited the Slade fire station in Headington, Oxford, on Saturday to view its Mass Decontamination Unit.
Mr Ashdown was shown around the station by Oxford Lib Dem campaigner Dr Steve Goddard and Catherine Bearder, who is number two on the Lib Dem ticket for the European Elections to be held on Thursday.
Mr Ashdown visited Oxford in support of the Lib Dem European Elections Campaign and to promote his recently released autobiography.
