Mystery surrounds the discovery of an injured man unconscious in an Oxford front garden.
Police are appealing for information after a 35-year-old man was found with severe injuries to the back of his head in Templar Road, Cuttleslowe, at 2.15am today.
He was found by a woman passer-by, who alerted police and paramedics. It was not known how long he had been lying in the garden.
The man, from Cutteslowe, was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital, and remained in a stable condition yesterday.
Det Sgt Katy Barrow-Grint said: “This man was found with a head injury. I am appealing to anyone who might know how he sustained this to get in touch.
“It is possible that this man could have fallen over but I am keeping an open mind and investigating every possibility. I would like anyone who might have seen a man walking in the Cutteslowe area between 12pm and 2.15am to come forward.”
Anyone with information should call police on 08458 505505 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
