HUNDREDS of women celebrated female achievements in the arts during the second Oxford Ladyfest.
A week of events in the city showcased the work of female musicians, writers, and artists.
The celebration formed part of the international Ladyfest event, and acted as a fundraiser for Oxford Sexual Abuse and Rape Crisis Centre.
Organiser Lizzie Atkinson, 19, said: “I think the festival did live up to our expectations and will act as a springboard for next year’s events.
“Last year we had just one day with a gig, this time we had a whole week of events and we actually made money for charity.”
East Oxford sculptor Josie Oakley exhibited her work at a festival craft event. She said: “It is a great idea and anything celebrating women is always going to be positive.”
