A PUB has raised more than £1,000 for charity from a four-day beer festival.
The Trigger Pond, in Bucknell, hosted a long weekend of fun giving regulars a chance to sample a range of British real ales and scrumpy cider.
In total the pub raised £1,347, which will be split between Help For Heroes, Katharine House Hospice and the Wish Charity.
Landlord Sean Arnett said: “We opened with a charity lunch in aid of Help for Heroe, which raised £550.
“Proceeds of £345 made from festival entrance fees and from Wadworth’s generous contribution of 20p per pint sold have been donated to the wonderful Katharine House Hospice.
“And on the last evening we held a race night collecting £480 for the Wish Charity, which helps under-privileged adults and children realise their dreams. The festival was a great success and hugely enjoyed by all who attended.
“Our customers thoroughly appreciated the quality of the real ale, and to have made such a good contribution to charity while also having so much fun, really is the icing on the cake.”
