THE head of Bicester’s Defence Storage and Distribution Agency has been suspended.
A Ministry of Defence spokesman said chief executive Neil Firth was one of a “small number” of staff who were suspended at the end of April during an investigation into commercial activities at the site.
It is understood the investigation, by the Defence Fraud Unit, is focusing on contracts which have been awarded to other organisations.
A temporary chief executive has been appointed while the investigation takes place.
