A boy injured in a collision in Oxford yesterday is out of intensive care.
The 11-year-old was in a serious condition with severe head injuries after he struck the windscreen of a silver Volkswagen Sharan while cycling at the junction of Abingdon Road and Weirs Lane at 12.45pm.
Police closed the road for more than four hours to launch an investigation into the crash, which caused tailbacks in the city.
He is now conscious and talking and his condition is no longer considered to be serious.
Anyone with information should contact police on 08458 505505 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
