The northbound carriageway of the M40 is due to reopen in the next half an hour, police said this afternoon.
The carriageway was initially due to reopen about 1pm but police now expect to reopen it soon after 3pm.
Officials are recovering the lorry, which shed its load of cheese and orange juice after crashing into the central reservation at 4.45am this morning.
The northbound carriageway has been shut between junctions 8 and 9 since the crash, along with one lane on the southbound carriageway between junctions 9 and 8A.
