The M40 northbound is due to reopen at about 1pm today after a lorry shed its load of orange juice and cheese.
Police spokesman Claire Gourlay said officers were currently at the scene and the lorry was being recovered.
She said the northbound carriageway, which has been shut between junction 8 for Oxford and junction 9 for Bicester since 4.45am, should be back open by at 1pm.
One lane on the southbound carriageway between junction 9 and junction 8A, which has also been shut since the accident, is due to reopen at the same time.
A second southbound lane was also initially closed but has since reopened.
Miss Gourlay said the driver of the lorry received minor injuries in the crash.
