The M40 is closed northbound at Oxford after a lorry hit the central reservation and shed cartons of orange juice onto the motorway.
Police closed the northbound carriageway between junction 8 for Oxford and junction 9 for Bicester after the crash at 4.45am today.
There is not yet any estimated reopening time and traffic is being diverted via the A40 and A34.
Two lanes are also closed on the southbound carriageway between junction 9 and junction 8A because of the accident, after parts of the central reservation were pushed onto the road.
